DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nTroy Township is proud to partner with the Village of Shorewood Police Department and Bio-One Clean Up to bring you this great event!\nShredding Event and Medication Disposal\nFree for all Troy Township Residents*\nSaturday, October 2, 2021 9:00am to 12:00pm**\nTroy Township Office & Community Center 25448 Seil Road, Shorewood\nStaff from the Shorewood Police Department will be on-site to collect the medication and ensure proper disposal. Bio-One Clean Up will be on-site to collect needles that are appropriately contained within an approved sharps container and ensure proper disposal.\n\n\n\n\nItems Accepted (expired or unwanted):\n\nPrescription Medications—you may put them all in a Ziplock bag\nOver-the-Counter Medications\nMedicated Ointments\nMedicated Shampoos\nLiquids Containing Medications\nPrescription Inhalers\nOver-the-Counter Inhalers\nNeedles (only if sealed in an approved sharps container)\n\n\n\nItems NOT Accepted:\n• Bio-Hazardous Materials\n• Radioactive Materials\n• Anything Containing Mercury • Medical Devices\n• Other Household Wastes\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nMake sure to bring only residentially generated medication items. No medications from businesses or doctor’s offices will be accepted. Use a permanent marker to black out your name\nor personal information on the label or you may put them all in a Ziplock bag.\n\n\n\n\n\n*Proof of residency is required, and each vehicle is limited to four grocery bags of paper to be shredded.\nDO NOT mix your medication with your papers. Please keep them separate.\n**The event will end PROMPTLY at 12:00pm and could possibly end sooner if the shredding truck fills up, due to inclement/hazardous weather or may be cancelled due to COVID restrictions.\nThis is NOT an event for businesses.
